Still debating...

My time is up with with Verizon. Now, do I want a Droid X or Crackberry Tour on Verizon? or do I switch to Sprint because of the service issues I've had with Verizon?

- Droid: More options wrt apps; less security; sexy
- Crackberry/Verizon: better security; everything I have will work/familiar platform
- Sprint/Evo: lose my $100 new-every-two credit on Verizon, but will have a 4g phone (little 4g actual coverage tho) and will be free of Verizon (and hopefully happy with Sprint long enough to get me well into my contract)

Oh, and Sprint will be about $20/month cheaper with their unlimited plan. Oh, and hopefully no freakin BING! HATE that Verizon keeps pushing that to my Crackberry desktop.

I'm on Sprint and very happy. I have the Samsung moment and hunny has the Evo. We're both loving the android OS and the way all of our google stuff is readily available on it.

Yeah, the google stuff...that's what I'm worried about. I'm not completely comfortable that Google has my privacy concerns in mind.

Yeah, they don't really, but there's nothing in my google info that would compromise me. I keep all that in yahoo. ;-)

Be sure to check that your normal haunts are in strong signal areas for Sprint. Turns out my neighborhood has weak Sprint service (a problem known by Sprint, I gather). May not be an issue for you.

Good point! I know Verizon was horrible in my old apt & they said they weren't going to do anything about it..."sorry".

Problem is that you don't know until you try it, and if it doesn't work they charge you a restocking fee! Too freakin funny!

This is important since I don't have a regular phone...only my cell

Well, one option would be to invite a friend with a newer Sprint phone over to your mansion during peak periods and see what sort of signal they get. But it really is a crap shoot.
